WAR HAWKS CONCLUDE UNBEATEN WEEK

ALPINE, TEXAS – McMurry University's front-line offense delivered when it mattered most Saturday, Oct. 15.

As the 2022 American Southwest Conference calendar moves closer and closer to the 2022 postseason tournament, head coach Cammie Petree's War Hawks rallied from a game-one loss at Sul Ross State University for a critical four-game decision. The 18-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-12 triumph was bolstered by a .278 game two and .367 game four team effort.

The junior-sophomore-hitting combination of Addyson Tiffin (Bushland, Texas) and Keetyn Davis (Abilene, Texas) was nearly unstoppable for the Lobos defense. Tiffin smashed 14 kills to the tune of .520, with Davis sending 11 to the Gallego Center floor at a .276 rate. Tiffin was also difficult for the home offense with seven block assists, and Davis ended with two service aces, three block assists, three assists, and nine digs.

Sophomore outside hitter Jacee Dinkins (Azle, Texas) was also among the headliners. She rattled off nine kills, delivered four service aces, and posted two block assists and two digs while also putting up an assist.

McMurry (10-9 overall, 6-6 ASC ) moved into a three-way tie for fifth, just a half-match out of a two-way tie for third on the loop standings. Petree's crew remains on the road Tuesday, Oct. 18, with a visit to league-leading UT-Dallas. The first serve is 6 p.m.
