ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University announced Thursday its home games against East Texas Baptist on Friday (Sept. 24) and against Belhaven on Saturday (Sept. 25) are both canceled due to COVID-19 protocols.

"We were very much looking forward to competing this weekend, but our primary concern is protecting our campus community," said Vice President for Student Affairs and Intercollegiate Athletics Sam Ferguson. "I'm grateful for the collegiality from our staff and conference opponents impacted. I'm also appreciative and impressed by the way our scholar-athletes are handling this disappointment. As we proved last week, there is no quit in this group of women. They are truly inspiring!"

Next on the schedule is a road match at LeTourneau next Friday, Oct. 1 in Longview, Texas.
