AUSTIN, Texas – The McMurry Women's Tennis team capped off the weekend with a strong performance against Concordia Texas, claiming the American Southwest Conference matchup by a score of 7-2 on Sunday afternoon in Austin.

The War Hawks (5-7, 2-1) registered a clean sweep in doubles play and claimed four singles to take down the Tornados (6-4, 3-1).

Doubles duo Claire Hillyer and Hope Turner pushed the limits at No. 1 doubles, earning the round by a tie-breaker decision, 8-7 (7-4).

Hannah DeFriend and Jasmin Klassen would follow up with an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles.

Snagging No. 3 doubles for the sweep, Morgan Parnell and Gabrielle Ellwanger earned the bout, 8-6.

Continuing to tack on points for McMurry, Hillyer would have a comfortable win at No.1 singles, 6-2, 6-1, against Isabella Wiik.

Klassen claimed No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-2, against Natalia Goodman.
