ABILENE, Texas – McMurry men's tennis fell to NCAA Division I foe Abilene Christian University, 7-0, at the Eager Tennis Center in Abilene, Texas on Sunday.

ACU claimed two out of three doubles bouts and registered straight set wins in all six singles matchups.

Despite the loss, the duo of senior Carlos Martinez and junior Chase Daniell netted an impressive 8-6 win in No. 1 doubles against Wildcats' Savan Chabbra and Riley Tran. The defeat hands Chabbra and Tran their first loss since Jan. 31.

"Although line one doubles was on Carlos and Chase's racket, it took a team effort to get the win," said head coach Chris Breaux.

The War Hawks look to bounce back next weekend with a trip to Richardson, Texas to face UT Dallas on March 6. First serve is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday.
