RICHARDSON, Texas – Three early first half goals proved to be too tough of a hill to climb as McMurry Men's Soccer dropped a 4-1 decision to UT Dallas Saturday night in Richardson, Texas.
McMurry (3-9, 1-4 American Southwest Conference) notched its lone goal of the game late in the second half off a penalty kick by senior
Andres Martinez.
UTD finished with 26 shots, 16 shots on goal and six corner kicks, though in the second half, McMurry saw three corner kick opportunities in the second half and limited the Comets to one.
Including Martinez, five War Hawks recorded a shot in the contest.
Freshman goalkeeper
Orion Patterson had 12 saves through 90 minutes of action.
McMurry will look to bounce back on Thursday, Oct. 14 against Howard Payne in Abilene, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
