GEORGETOWN, Texas – The McMurry University tennis teams were swept Saturday in a nonconference matchup at Southwestern University, with both teams falling by 9-0 scores.

For the McM men, the duo of Carlos Martinez and Chase Daniell nearly stole a point at number one doubles, but came up short, 8-7.

Freshman Hope Turner played competitively at number six singles for the McM women, dropping her match 6-3, 6-2.

Both teams will conclude the first half of the season with a matchup at UT Dallas March 6 at 2 p.m. before playing a number of matches over spring break.
