ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University Women's Tennis saw its four match winning streak come to an end Sunday, as visiting UT Dallas swept the War Hawks, 9-0.
The War Hawks (7-7, 2-1 ASC) dropped the first two matches in double, had a chance to steal at point at number two. However, Zayra Gomez and Claire Huffine came up just short, as they fell by the narrow margin of 8-6.
The Comets (6-1, 4-0 ASC) were too much for the War Hawks in singles play as they took all six matches. Neah Garza had a competitive match at number four, but fell 6-4, 6-3.
McMurry will close out American Southwest Conference play with three road matches, beginning Friday at Mary Hardin-Baylor at 2 p.m.
