BELTON, Texas – McMurry University Women's Tennis picked up its fourth sweep of the season Friday afternoon when it defeated the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 9-0 at the Yvonne Li Tennis Center.

The War Hawks (9-7, 4-1 ASC) made light work of the Cru 3-5, 2-3 ASC) in doubles play, taking all but two points. Samantha Ritz and Kaitlyn Roberts had a clean sheet at number one, winning 8-0, while Claire Huffine and Zayra Gomez and Gabrielle Ellwanger and Neah Garza had matching 8-1 wins at numbers two and three, respectively.

Ritz didn't allow a point in singles play either, with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep. Huffine sealed the McMurry win with a 6-0, 6-1 win at number two.

At number three, Ellwanger won both sets 6-3, with Garza winning both sets 6-2 at number four. Gomez claimed a 6-1, 6-2 victory at number five, while Briana Perez completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 win at number six.

The War Hawks conclude the regular season Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hardin-Simmons.
