The War Hawks (11-20, 6-14 ASC) were held without a hit until the fifth inning as they were shut out in game one of the doubleheader. Once they got their first hit, McMurry loaded the bases with no outs but left the bases loaded.

It was a pitcher's duel until the seventh inning, as the Wildcats (19-11, 10-10 ASC) held just a 2-0 lead after scoring twice in the opening frame. However, the Wildcats scored five times in the seventh to break open the game and took advantage of four McMurry errors on the afternoon.

Hope Schoeneman suffered the loss in the circle, allowing seven runs, of which only two were earned. She tossed all seven innings, allowing eight hits while striking out five.

McMurry finished game one with four hits, all singles.

McMurry 11, Louisiana College 3 (5 inn.)

McMurry scored 10 times in the third inning en route to an 11-3 win in game two over the Wildcats.

After the Wildcats scored twice in the top half of the inning to take a 3-1 lead, McMurry started their trek around the bases with a pair of walks.

First baseman Rachel Ripley tied the game with a two run double to center, and scored to give the War Hawks the lead on a fielder's choice. The next four batters reached, with three hits followed by an error to give McMurry a 6-3 lead.

Kamwren Jackson then drove in a run with a pinch hit walk, and Ripley followed with her second hit of the inning with an RBI infield single. Designated player Kasey Woolard drove in a pair with a double of her own, and the final run of the inning came across when catcher Nina Hernandez reached on an error.

Both teams committed four errors in the nightcap, as McMurry scored their 11 runs on just eight hits.

Louisiana College had scored first in the opening frame before McM tied it in the second on an RBI double by shortstop Mikayla Krause.

Emily Levario earned her second straight complete game win, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits with two strikeouts.
