TYLER, Texas – McMurry University Softball couldn't avoid the sweep at UT Tyler, as the Patriots took game three 8-0 in five innings.

Third baseman Adrienne Nairn collected the War Hawks' (7-10) only hit of the afternoon in the third inning as McMurry only had three batters reach base all game.

Hope Schoeneman took the loss after allowing four runs in one plus inning, while Cheyenne West pitched the final three innings of relief.

The Patriots (12-0) scored a single run in the first before adding four in the second and three in the fourth to earn the run rule victory.

It will be a quick turnaround for the War Hawks as they visit NCAA II Texas-Permian Basin Tuesday evening.
