ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University Men's Soccer looks to get back above .500 when they return to the turf at Wilford Moore Stadium for a pair of games this week. The War Hawks host UT-Tyler at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and then take on University of the Ozarks Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

Last Week: McMurry went 0-1-1 last week, dropping a 1-0 decision at LeTourneau before playing to a 2-2 tie at East Texas Baptist.
Lara scores again: Senior forward Rafael Lara scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season in the tie against ETBU on a penalty kick. His three conference goals are tied for fourth in conference only games, while his five goals overall rank him tied for fifth.
Close games: Five of the seven games this season have been decided by one goal or less.
Fouls aplenty: The match against ETBU had 38 combined fouls, resulting in nine yellow cards between the teams.
Martinez scores his first: Freshman midfielder Andres Martinez scored his first career goal at ETBU, knotting the game at 2-2 in the 87th minute on a header.
About UT-Tyler: The war Hawks trail the series with the Patriots 3-7-2. But the War Hawks have the last win in the series, a 1-0 win in 2016, after a 0-0 tie last season. Tyler is 6-1-1 on the year, with senior forward Lucas Pereira leading the way with six goals.
About Ozarks: The Eagles are just 1-6-1, 1-3-0 ASC on the season, with the lone win last week against Mary Hardin-Baylor, 3-2. Senior midfielder Michael Luster and freshman defender Richard Souffrant each have two goals to lead the Eagles.
