SAN ANTONIO, Texas – McMurry University's women's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Division III Southwest Women's Regional Championships tournament, bringing home a pair of runner-up finishes in doubles play. Sophomore

The Ellwanger-Garza tandem defeated pairs from Schreiner, Hardin-Simmons and LeTourneau University to reach the finals. Ellwanger and Garza lost, 8-6, from Ashley Schenk and Cassidy Willcoxson from East Texas Baptist in the title bout.
In Flight C doubles, Long and Jones opened with a win over a team from Mary Hardin-Baylor. Wins over team from Schreiner and Hendrix propelled the duo into the finals, where it lost, 8-4, to Alexandra Kyser and Alondra Torres-Diaz from UMHB.

Claire Huffine reached the quarterfinals of the championship bracket before bowing out of the tournament.
