LONGVIEW, Texas – After a historic and dominating win to begin the season, McMurry University Women's Soccer was defeated 4-0 Saturday night at LeTourneau University in a nonconference matchup.
The Yellowjackets (2-0) scored a pair of goals en route to the victory. They outshot the War Hawks (1-1) 9-2, including 5-1 in shots on goal.
Recording the shots for the War Hawks were freshman defender Kate Holland and sophomore forward Courtney Kendrick, who had the lone shot on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Cindy Villasana had one save for the War Hawks.
McMurry returns to action Wednesday for its home opener at Wilford Moore Stadium to host University of the Southwest at 5 p.m.
