ALPINE, Texas – McMurry University's women's soccer team was unable to breach the nets in a 6-0 American Southwest Conference loss at Sul Ross State University. The loss dropped the War Hawks to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the ASC, while the Lobos improved to 3-2 on the year and 1-1 in league.
SRSU led 2-0 at the half and extended that with four scores in the second. McM starting goalkeeper
Jordan Gregory played the first half and had five saves, while
Cindy Villasana has six second half saves.
The War Hawks were out-shot by a 27-12 margin for the match. The Lobos put 17 shots on-goal, while all seven of McM's shots on-goal were stopped by SRSU goalies.
