ABILENE, Texas – The McMurry University women's soccer team wrapped up American Southwest Conference play for 2017, falling 9-0 at the hands of the No. 5-ranked team in NCAA III, Hardin-Simmons University, at the HSU Sports Complex.
The veteran Cowgirls' lineup dominated the youthful War Hawks side. HSU out-shot McMurry by a 33-0 margin for the match. Likewise, Hardin-Simmons controlled the corner kick count, as well, 14-2.
War Hawks' goalkeeper Jordyn Gregory played all 90 minutes and had seven saves. Gregory was charged with all nine goals.
McMurry fell to 3-14 overall and 1-11 in the ASC. The Cowgirls improved top 16-0 and 12-0 in league.
The War Hawks will close the curtain on 2017 on Saturday with a non-conference road match at the University of Dallas.
