KERRVILLE, Texas – The McMurry women's soccer team lost a non-conference contest on the road, falling at Schreiner University, 9-0.
The War Hawks (0-3) gave up six first-half goals to the Mountaineers (1-1-1). Three SU goalkeepers combined on the shutout.
McMurry's shot selection was of good quality, with nine of the team's 11 shot attempts directly on goal. SU goalie Taylor Roberson booked seven saves versus the McM offense.

Emily Garza and Xochilt Miranda each had a pair of shots in the match.
McM's starting goalkeeper, Jordyn Gregory had all three of her team's saves in her 56 minutes of work. Gregory was charged with eight goals and
Simone Heinle, who came on in the 57th minute, allowed one goal.
The War Hawks will travel to Sherman, Texas for a pair of weekend games. McM faces Centenary College on Saturday (3 p.m.) and host Austin College on Sunday (12 p.m.).
