SHERMAN, Texas – McMurry University women's soccer gave up am pair of goals in each half, losing a non-conference match at Austin College, 4-0. The loss dropped the War Hawks to 0-4, while the Kangaroos improved to 1-3.
AC tallied in the 20th and 29th minutes of the first half, as well as the 55th and 69th minutes of the second.
McM goalkeeper Jordyn Gregory had 11 saves. Gregory was charged with all four goals, one of which came via a penalty kick.
The Kangaroos utilized home field advantage, out-shooting McM by a 35-6 margin. AC had 15 shots on-goal, while the War Hawks failed to put any of their attempts on frame.
Julissa Alvarez had two of McM's shots. Four other players had one attempt each.
McMurry will host a pair of American Southwest Conference games versus University of the Ozarks on Friday (2 p.m.) and UT-Tyler on Saturday (5 p.m.).
