MARSHALL, Texas - McMurry University women's soccer team allowed a solitary goal early in the second half, but it was enough to send the team to a 1-0 defeat at East Texas Baptist University.

The War Hawks (1-15, 1-9 ASC) and the Tigers (6-6-4, 4-4-2 ASC) battled to a scoreless tie for the first 45 minutes of the match. Just 2:16 minutes into the second half, ETBU's Heather Brady took a pass from Megan Friend and netted the lone goal of the contest.

Jordan Gregory kept her team in the bout with 11 saves, seven in the first half alone. ETBU net-minder Karrigan Falber saved to only shot on goal by the War Hawks off the foot of sophomore
Cristen Lumbreras.

In all, the Tigers took 28 shot attempts.

McMurry will close out the season on Saturday at LeTourneau University.
