LONGVIEW, Texas – McMurry University women's soccer closed the books on the 2016 season, dropping a road match at LeTourneau University, 4-0. By defeating the War Hawks, the YellowJackets also earned a berth in the American Southwest Conference tournament.
McM was out-shot by the LETU team by a 30-7 margin. LeTourneau put 12 shots on-goal and the War Hawks made the YellowJackets' goalkeeper make one save.
McMurry's
Jordan Gregory had a total of eight saves and was charged with all four goals.
McM's Xochilt Miranda had three of her team's shot attempts.
Cristen Lumbreras had the War Hawks' shot on-goal.
The YellowJackets led 2-0 at the half and added a pair of second-half tallies, as well.
McMurry finished the season with a 1-16 record with a roster composed entirely of freshmen and sophomores.
