DENVER, Colo. – McMurry University women's soccer – after overcoming travel travails – lost a 3-0 decision to Johnson & Wales University at DSG Park.
The War Hawks (2-10-2) – after playing a match in Alpine, Texas on Thursday afternoon – returned to Abilene in time to catch an early Friday A.M. flight to Denver. However, weather played havoc with McM's flights and caused the rescheduling of Friday evening's game until today.
McMurry was out-shot by the Wildcats (2-12-0), 17-5. JWU out-gunned McM by an 11-2 margin in the first half.
The Wildcats tallied all three of their goals in the first half. JWU was able to net goals in the 21st, 29th and 33rd minutes, before the War Hawks clamped down in the second half.

Simone Heinle had nine saves in the contest. Her counterpart from JWU, Victoria Diaz, had three saves in earning the shutout.
The loss was McM's fourth-straight setback
The same two teams will play again on Sunday in Denver, with a noon (MT) start time.
