ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University women's soccer was shutout by perennial power Hardin-Simmons University, 12-0, on the HSU home pitch.
The War Hawks (2-8-2) were unable to muster any offense in the contest versus the Cowgirls (11-2-1). Hsu had 54 total shots – 35 on-goal – compared to one shot by McMurry's
Holiday Williams in the second half of play.
McMurry goalkeeper, despite facing the barrage of shot attempts, managed 22 saves. Three HSU goalies combined on the shutout for the host team.
Kami Jones led the Cowgirls with three goals and three assists. Three other HSU players had two goals apiece.
McMurry is now winless in its last five matches.
