Volleyball Win Streak Reaches Five

Box Score ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University volleyball won its fifth-consecutive match – all by shutouts – thanks to its 3-0 (25-19, 25-10, 25-23) win over Howard Payne University at Kimbrell Arena. The victory improved the War Hawks to 11-5 on the year, while the Yellow Jackets were kept winless at 0-14.
 
Catherine Heath led the McM attack with 11 kills. It was Heath's seventh match with double-digit kill totals and fourth in a row.
 
Katy Headrick and Kayla Hines had seven and six kills, respectively. Kelsey Harkins and Audrey Sanders added five kills, apiece. Harkins also had 11 digs and six service aces.
 
As a team, the War Hawks hit .245 in the match, with 41 kills in 102 attempts, with 16 errors. McM's defense limited the Yellow Jackets to just a .101 attack average.
 
Setters Morgan Thomas and Jessica Tennis combined for 29 assists. Thomas led with 18 "helps," while Tennis had 11. Jessica Cory contributed five assists and had a team-leading 17 digs.
