ODESSA, Texas – The McMurry men's soccer team was defeated by UT-Permian Basin by a score of 1-0 in their first Heartland Conference contest on Saturday afternoon in Odessa, Texas.\

For most of the first half, the two teams had played to a 0-0 tie until a header by UTPB's Andrew Enriquez found the back of the net to make the score 1-0 in favor of the home team. The teams would go into the half with the same score.

In the second half, the War Hawks had a few chances and managed five shots, but neither team would score as the Falcons of UTPB held on for the 1-0 victory.

The War Hawks will be back in action on Tuesday, September 11 when they travel to Dallas to take on Dallas Christian College. The game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. kick-off.
