SAN ANGELO, Texas – The McMurry University volleyball team was defeated in straight sets by #11 Angelo State on Thursday evening.

The Belles took the first two sets by scores of 25-12 before taking set three 25-16. Kasi Conners led the way offensively for the War Hawks with six kills and zero errors on 15 attempts. Three other McMurry players notched five kills as M.J. Vickers, Peyton Evans, and Kayla Hines reached that mark. Evans added 20 assists and Ayssa Garcia led the defense with 16 digs.

The War Hawks will return to action on Saturday, September 22 when they return to Kimbrell Arena to take on Heartland Conference opponent Oklahoma Panhandle State University. The contest against the Aggies is scheduled for a 12 p.m. start.
