ABILENE, Texas – McMurry's women's tennis team improved to 2-0 on the season on Friday, scoring a 6-3 win over Austin College.
The War Hawks won five of six singles matches, as well as No. 1 doubles, on their way to the non-conference victory.
At No. 1 singles, 
Dana LeMieux lost her first set to Elizabeth Flint, 2-6, before coming back to win the second, 6-3. LeMieux won the third set 10-7 in the proset. At No. 2 singles, 
Lacey Krusmark had no trouble with Margaret Edwards, 6-3, 6-1.
McM's 
Brandy Curry split sets with AC's Madison Watt. Curry dropped the opener 4-6, then won 6-2 in the second and 10-7 in the deciding third set.
Hilary Stone and 
Autumn Patterson both won in straight sets at the No. 5 and 6 spots, respectively. Stone was rock-solid in topping Jessie Berger, 6-1, 7-5, while Patterson swept Ashley Hellman 6-4, 6-2.
The War Hawks' tandem of LeMieux and Miller was also victorious at No. 1 doubles over Sophie McDonald and Flint, 8-5.
