WICHITA FALLS, Texas – McMurry University women's basketball lost its fourth game in a row to open the 2012-13 season, suffering a 65-46 setback at the hands of Colorado School of Mines at the Ashbrook Classic hosted by Midwestern State University. The loss dropped the War Hawks to 0-4, while Orediggers improved to 3-1.
CSM led virtually the entire game, building a 33-19 cushion by the intermission. The Orediggers hit 43 percent from the floor (15-35) in the first half, before settling on a 38 percent field goal percentage (26-69) for the night.
Junior forward
Keshia Collins once again paced the McMurry offense with 15 points on a 6-of-17 shooting effort from the floor. She also had seven rebounds, two steals and a blocked shot.
Freshman
Claire Bruffey was McM's only other player in double figures. Bruffey added 12 points to the McMurry coffers.
Senior

Ana Dominguez shared the team lead in rebounds with eight, apiece. Dominguez had three blocked shots to lead either team in that category.
Taylor Russell had seven points and five boards in the loss, as well.
CSM's Tory Langas led all scorers with 18 points, hitting 8-of-10 from the field.
McMurry's bench out-scored that of the Orediggers by a 21-11 margin. However, CSM returned the favor with a 20-12 edge in points off turnovers.
