Biography
Casey Jones serves as the Director of Athletic Communications & Operations for McMurry University, officially joining the staff in October 2024. Prior to his current role, Jones served as the public address announcer for McMurry football, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball during the fall of 2024.
Professional Experience
Before returning to his alma mater in an athletics capacity, Jones dedicated two decades to education, teaching high school theatre from 2003 to 2023. His extensive career in education featured stops across Texas, including Granbury High School (2004-2008), Calhoun High School (2008-2010), Belton High School (2010-2017), North Forney High School (2017-2018), Rio Vista High School (2018-2023), and Bangs High School (2023-2024), and directing over 100 theatrical productions.
Playing Career
While a student at McMurry University, he competed on the Club Soccer team from 1999 to 2000.

Personal
A native of Taylor, Texas, Jones and his wife, Cynthia, a fellow McMurry alum, have two sons, Blake and Brett. Blake is currently a junior at McMurry and Brett, who will join the McMurry family in the fall of 2026. Outside of the office, he is an active baseball player, competing on Friday nights in the Fort Worth Men's Senior Baseball League and with a traveling sandlot team based in Fort Worth. Jones is also an avid graphic designer who creates logos and uniforms for various teams and leagues. Additionally, he enjoys music and frequently attends concerts and music festivals with his family.
