McMurry alumnus and Abilene native Case Harvey '89 was announced as the Assistant Athletic Director for Scholar-Athlete Wellness and Head Athletic Trainer on August 9, 2022.
Following his graduation from Abilene High School, Harvey attended McMurry and served as a student athletic trainer until graduating in 1989. He went on to a successful career at the high school level before returning to McMurry as an assistant athletic trainer from 2005-2007.

Harvey has been in Abilene ever since his first return to McMurry, working five seasons at Abilene High School and nearly a decade at Hendrick Bone and Joint (formerly Abilene Bone and Joint). He now comes back to McMurry for a third stint and will lead the athletic training office.
Harvey’s roots go beyond his time at McMurry. His parents, James and Jane, are both McM graduates, as well as his sister and brother-in-law. Harvey’s nephew is currently attending McMurry.

Outside of his time in Abilene, Harvey has worked as an athletic trainer and power lifting coach at Lubbock Cooper High School (1989-1991) and Plainview High School (1991-2005). He also had a similar role at Abilene High from 2007-2012.

Harvey, an Abilene native, remains in the Big Country and has one daughter, Samantha.
