Ana Ramos joined the McMurry University Women's Soccer staff in August 2019 and has served the university in various capacities. She enters her fourth soccer season as assistant coach.
In her first season as an assistant, the War Hawks won a program-best 12 games, including their first ever ASC Tournament game. Ramos aided in coaching six all-conference honorees as well as three All-Region players. The War Hawks had five more players selected for all-conference in Spring 2021 and a record seven players in Fall 2021.
Most recently in Fall 2021, McMurry posted 11 wins and made a second appearance in the ASC semifinal round. She also aided the War Hawks to perhaps the biggest win in program history when they defeated national powerhouse Hardin-Simmons for the first-time ever with a 1-0 victory. It was HSU's first loss to a conference team since 2016.
Ramos has a strong knowledge of the American Southwest Conference, as her last stint was as an assistant coach at University of the Ozarks. The Arlington, Texas native also lettered four seasons at LeTourneau, where she was named a three-time distinguished scholar athlete for soccer and participated in the NCAA Sports Forum in Indianapolis in 2014.
Ramos has coached in a number of capacities, including staff coach roles for Oklahoma State University's ID and Residential camps and Exact Sports. She was also the Youth Director and Head Coach at the Arkansas Valley Soccer Association from 2016-19, developing players from U8-U16.
In addition to her four seasons as assistant coach for the Eagles, Ramos also spent two years as the fitness center director, one year working as an assistant sports information director and a short stint as the interim head competitive cheer coach. She also worked as the Southeast Wrestling Conference Commisioner from Nov. 2018 to Aug. 2019.
Ramos graduated from LETU with a degree in business management and related coursework in Kinesiology. She is CPR/First Aid certified, Bigger, Faster, Stronger certified and holds a US Soccer Federation "F" license.
