A graduate of Gunter High School (2014) … Coached by his father, Lonnie Scott … Four varsity seasons … Honorable mention all-district as a freshman and sophomore … Second team all-district as a junior … “Comeback Player of the Year” as a senior … Academic all-district all four seasons … Academic all-state as a senior … Earned team’s “Fighting Heart” award as a senior … Also played football, ran cross country, played golf and competed in track and field as a prep … In football, was honorable mention all-district tight end as a sophomore, first team all-district at defensive end as a junior and twice academic all-district (sophomore and junior years) … In four seasons of cross country, team was a regional qualifier freshman through junior years … On the links, team was district champs and regional qualifier his junior year, with him earning “Most Improved” award as a senior … In track and field, the shot put and discus, while also running the 1600 … Was president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter and Beta Club … Algebra “Student of the Year” … National Honors Society member … National English Honors Society … A member of choir and a state choir qualifier … Played club for both Texas Express (one year) and BST All-Stars (five years) under coach Brian Hopgood.

Born May 31, 1995 in Pilot Point, Texas … Son of Lonnie and Amy Scott … Has one younger brother … He sang bass in varsity choir and earned highest possible rating at state competition … Is a registered and active member of The Choctaw Indian nation … Active in his home church (Gunter First Baptist) and works with 6th-8th grade youth at Wylie Methodist Church … Involved with McMurry’s FCA and Campus Activities Board … A history (grades 8-12) major and education minor … Wants a career as a teacher and coach.
