#UNITEDASWARHAWKS:

McMurry University Athletics

Rob Yeatts

Rob Yeatts joined the McMurry University staff for the 2015-16 season, reuniting with his former college teammate in head coach Zach Pickelman.

In 2019, Yeatts helped guide the War Hawks to their first ASC Tournament appearance since 2012. McMurry improved its record in each of Yeatt's first four seasons as an assistant, including tripling its win total from year one to year two.

Yeatt's has recruited two of McM's three American Southwest Conference Freshman of the Year winners in its 25-year ASC history, and has had five players named to the All-ASC West Division All-Freshman team.

Additionally, Yeatts has had the opportunity to coach nine All-ASC West honorees. Five have been named honorable mention, three have been named to the All-ASC West second team and one was named to the All-ASC West first team. He has also coached one player to All-ASC West Defensive Team honors.

In 2016-17 and 2017-18, Yeatts assisted in coaching Nate Estrada and LaRandall Scroggins to NCCAA All-Region honorable mention honors.

Off the court, McM has had 15 players earn Academic All-ASC honors, two NCCAA Scholar-Athletes and saw Dedrick Berry Jr. earn the All-ASC West Sportsmanship Award in 2019-20.

In the summer months, Yeatts has helped direct Texas Prep Basketball School camps at McMurry the past three years.

Yeatts was a four-year player at Hardin-Simmons University, helping the Cowboys to the ASC tournament twice (including the school’s first-ever bid in 2005). He also played alongside Pickelman for two seasons, as well. Yeatts was an honorable mention all-ASC selection in 2008.

Yeatts worked for Pearland Basketball Camps from 2005-13. He also worked as a personal trainer for basketball players in Abilene from 2009-13, as well.

Yeatts is married to the former Jessica Vincent. The couple has three children: Javen, Kyleigh and Arianna.
