MEN'S & WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Seidel-Swagerty Tennis Center is the on-campus home for both the men's and women's tennis teams of McMurry University. Annually, the facility is home to numerous exciting War Hawks' intercollegiate matches, as well as high school matches, city/regional tournaments and classes.
The Seidel-Swagerty Tennis Center has received several improvements over the last five years. Furthermore, the complex underwent a large makeover in 2013, as McMurry added a covered pavilion breezeway, locker rooms, coaching offices, a meeting room, a classroom and restroom facilities. Seating was also put in place for 200 fans. The playing area features six courts -- three each to the east and west of the main building.
In 2005, the Center was renamed in honor of Barbara Swagerty, a McMurry alumna who donated a generous gift to make the facility a reality in the first place. Swagerty is an avid tennis player who is active in the sport within Abilene and a proud supporter of the University.
