2011-12 (Junior):

American Southwest Conference West division second team selection … ASC Distinguished Scholar and All-Academic Team choice, as well … ASC West Player of the Week (1/30/12) … Appeared in all 27 games, starting the final 15 … Averaged 7.2 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.8 steals per game … Seven double digit scoring games … Two double-doubles … Season-best 19 points vs. Mary Hardin-Baylor (1/21/12) … Pulled down 14 rebounds in back-to-back games vs. Texas Lutheran (1/28/12) and vs. cross-town rival Hardin-Simmons University (1/30/12) … In the TLU game, 10 of her 14 boards were of the offensive variety (to go along with her 11 points).

2010-11 (Sophomore):

Named to the ASC Academic All-Conference team ... Started in 18 of the 26 games played, averaging 23.1 minutes per game ... Scored 144 points averaging 5.5 p.p.g.  ... Recorded a season high 20 points in a game against Lake Forest College (12/19/10), going 8-13 from the floor and 2-3 from beyond the arc ... Recorded a season high 12 rebounds against Mary Hardin-Baylor on February 12, 2011 (all 12 boards were on the offensive side).

McMurry Volleyball Career:

Played four seasons ... A 2011 All-American honorable mention and first team all-region ... Earned all-conference honors three times and helped McMurry to three American Southwest Conference Tournament appearances.

High School:

A graduate of Albany High School (2009), where she played her final three years ... Played four seasons of basketball for head coach (and her mother) Melissa Vickers at AHS ... As a freshman (2005-06), attended Woodson High School … Overall, she earned four all-district honmors, three-time district’s MVP (soph.-senior), three TABC all-state selection (soph.-senior) and two TGCA all-state awards (junior & senior) ... Four-time All-Big Country 1A team … Big Country Class A Player of the year as a junior ….Three-time Big Country Super Team (soph.-senior) … Big Country Super Team MVP as a junior and senior … Three-time team MVP (frosh – junior) … Also a standout volleyball career … Volleyball accolades include 4x all-district, 2x district MVP, 3x all-region, region MVP as a junior, 4x all-state honoree and 4x team MVP, to go along with numerous all-tournament awards … An outstanding prep athlete who played a total of six different sports during her career (basketball, volleyball, softball, track, tennis and golf).

Personal:

Born March 25, 1991 ... Daughter of Johnny and Melissa Vickers ... Both of her parents attended McMurry ... Her mother played basketball for the Indians in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s ... Her brothers Rory and Ryder were both all-Americans at McMurry in football and track and field respectively ... Rory is the No. 1 wide receiver in school history in yards, receptions and touchdowns ... Ryder was an all-American for Barbara Crousen in the high jump ... She has done extensive volunteer work, including Adopt-A-Highway, Grandfriends, Pumpkin Patch, Albany Annual Christmas tournament, Rescue the Animals and Meals-on-Wheels, to name a few … Majoring in mathematics ... Wants to teach math and coach at the high school level.
