McMurry University Athletics

2010 Season (Junior):

Named to the National Golf Coaches Association all-West Region team. Helped McMurry University to a 4th place team finish at the American Southwest Conference Tournament.


2009 Season (Sophomore):

Was named to the all-American Southwest Conference first team for the second straight year by way of a 3rd place finish at the conference championship. Helped McMurry University to a 3rd place finish at the conference championships.

2008 Season (Freshman):

Lead McMurry to a conference championship with a 5th place finish at the conference tournament. Earned a first team all conference selection with that finish. Helped McMurry University to a 15th place finish at the national tournament.

High School:

Played for head coach Cody Slaughter at Merkel High School in Merkel. Qualified for the regional tournament her junior year of high school. As a senior she was part of the district championship team, and became the first golfer from Merkel High School to qualify for the state golf tournament. She was named to the all district teams her junior and senior seasons along with earning a all region selection her senior year.

Personal:

Graduated in 2007 from Merkel High School in Merkel. Sister Meagan Harris was a member of the McMurry University’s women’s golf team that won a conference title in 2008. Meagan also graduated from McMurry in 2008 with a Marketing degree. Majoring in Exercise Science Human Performance she is set to graduate in May of 2011. Born 25 June 1989.
