Strong post player known for his excellent leaping ability.  Should see playing time at post.  Angelo State:  Spent three years at Angelo State including a redshirt year for the 2006 season.  Averaged two points and two boards a game for the 2007 season and the same numbers for his sophomore season in 2008.  Anene was part of the 2008 Rams squad that went 17-10 and advanced to the Lone Star Conference postseason tournament.  Anene also ran the 800 meters for the Angelo State track team.  High School:  Attended American High School in Kaiserslautern, Germany.  Averaged 15 points and nine rebounds his senior year to lead American High School to the semifinal round of the European Championships.  He won all-conference Division I recognition for his play as well as the “Chairman of the Boards” award for his rebounding prowess.  Was also an all-Europe runner in the 800-meters, 4x800, and 4x400.  Personal:  Born 24 July 1987 in Brenen, Germany.  2005 graduate of American High School.
