McMurry University Athletics

Entering her third year in McMurry’s program.  A guard/forward that can shoot the three well.  Should see time at either guard or forward. 

2007-08 Season:  Appeared in 29 games for McMurry and averaged 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest.  Williams made 16 3-pointers for the year, which was the third-most on the team behind Maigen Sawyer (53) and Allison Nelson (25).  Williams averaged nine minutes of playing time per game.  2006-2007 Season: Played in 14 games as a freshman. Scored a season-high 18 points in McMurry’s record-setting win over Louisiana College Dec. 2. She hit four 3-pointers to set the team record with 15 threes. However, McMurry would break its own record later in the season with 16 against Schreiner Jan. 20; Williams hit the record-breaking 3-pointer.

High School: Was a four-year letterman for Tri Danley at Ballinger High School. Her senior season, she was a Texas Basketball Magazine pre-season all-state honorable mention selection. After averaging 16.4 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per contest her senior year, she was named all-district, all-region and academic all-state by the TABC. She was also named to the Abilene Reporter News’ All-Big Country Class 2A team. Her junior season she averaged 10.9 points per game and five rebounds and had 2.1 steals per game and was name all-district. She was named to several all-tournament teams throughout her high school career. Also lettered in cross country.
