McMurry University Athletics

Returns for her senior year and should see playing time at forward for McMurry. 

2007-08 Season:  Appeared in all 30 games for McMurry and started one.  Averaged 4.4 points and 2.8 rebounds per game.  Also tallied 20 steals and six blocks for the year.  Butler also excelled off the court as she was an academic all-conference selection.  2006-07 Season: Played in all 29 games and was McMurry’s ‘sixth man’ off the bench. She scored 4.8 points per game and averaged 3.4 rebounds per game as well. Scored in double figures three times and posted a season-high 12 rebounds against Mary Hardin-Baylor Feb. 15. Scored a season-high 14 points and had seven rebounds against Concordia Feb. 17. Named academic all-conference. 2005-06 Season: Played in all 28 games as a freshman and averaged 1.9 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds Dec. 12, 2005 against Hardin-Simmons. High School: Helped Mansfield Summit to a 33-6 season and a district title in her senior season under head coach Samantha Morrow. Was named all-district honorable mention. She was also named to the academic all-state squad and lettered three times. Personal: 2005 graduate of Mansfield Summitt High Schoool and finished in the top 10 percent of her senior class;

Born 20 April 1987.  Exercise Science and human performance major that is on pace to graduate in May.  Plans for after graduation are to attend occupational therapy school.
