McMurry Racks Up 96 Points at Kimbrell Arena

McMurry Outruns Ozarks for Season Highlight

ABILENE, TX – Behind an explosive offensive performance and a dominant effort in transition, the McMurry War Hawks defeated the University of the Ozarks, 96-71, on Sunday afternoon at Kimbrell Arena. The victory improves McMurry's record to 13-4 on the season as they continue to showcase a high-powered brand of basketball in front of their home fans.
The War Hawks established their rhythm early, leading for over 39 minutes of the contest. McMurry's defensive intensity drove their offense, as they turned 19 Ozarks turnovers into 28 points. The most striking difference was McMurry's speed, outscoring the Eagles 38-11 in fast-break points while also controlling the interior with 50 points in the paint.
Helana Chadwick delivered a spectacular performance, leading all scorers with 28 points. Chadwick was lethal from the perimeter, knocking down four shots from beyond the arc. Beyond her scoring, she orchestrated the offense with a team-high 10 assists to secure a double-double and remained active on the glass with two rebounds.

Aryana Cleveland was a force in the interior, finishing with 12 points and leading the team with eight rebounds. Cleveland was efficient at the rim and perfect from the charity stripe, going 2-for-2. Her defensive presence anchored the War Hawks, contributing three steals and a block to disrupt the Eagles' offensive sets.

Jordan Bravo rounded out the top performers, adding 10 points and six rebounds in a productive outing. Bravo was active in the team's defensive pressure, recording three steals to jumpstart the transition game. Her consistency on both ends of the floor helped McMurry maintain a lead that grew to as many as 30 points in the final period.

The War Hawks also saw significant contributions from the bench, which matched the Eagles' reserves with 35 points. As a unit, McMurry shot a strong 47.5% from the field and utilized their superior depth to wear down the visitors.
