BROWNWOOD, TX — The McMurry War Hawks men's basketball team battled against Howard Payne University in a high-scoring matchup on Monday evening but ultimately fell short, losing 102-110. The loss moves the War Hawks' overall record to 1-1 on the young season.

The War Hawks have a quick turnaround and will return to the court Tuesday, November 11th, for a rivalry game against Hardin-Simmons University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Mabee Complex.
