McMurry University's Lady War Hawks started the second half of the conference schedule with a 75-63 win over LeTourneau University Thursday, Jan. 18 in Kimbrell Arena.

Emily Holland (Mansfield, Texas) with 14, sophomore guard
Helana Chadwick (La Vernia, Texas) with 11 and sophomore guard
Kylie Flippin (Wichita Falls, Texas) with 10.

Drew Long's team won the first quarter 16-12, second quarter 21-16 and fourth quarter 19-16. Both teams battled to a 19-19 tie in the third quarter.
The Lady War Hawks sank seven three-pointers with Holland being 4 of 5 and junior post
Ashton Garner (Odessa, Texas) nailing both of her attempts. Chadwick also contributed one. The free-throw line was nice to the home team, which converted 22 of 28 chances. Flippin was 6 of 8, senior guard/forward
Taya Bridges (Mesquite, Texas) and Chadwick were both a perfect 4 of 4, freshman wing
Gracie Garcia (The Woodlands, Texas) and Cleveland were both 3 of 4 and Holland was 2 of 4.
Cleveland led in rebounds with 10, five each on offense and defense, and Holland was the next highest with seven, three on offense and four on defense. McMurry stole the ball nine times with Chadwick and Bridges both having three thefts, Holland adding two and Garcia contributing one. Holland blocked a shot.
The lead changed hands twice and the score was tied once.
McMurry, 12-5 overall and 7-2 in the American Southwest Conference, hosts East Texas Baptist University at 1 p.m. Saturday in Kimbrell Arena.
