MARSHALL, TEXAS – East Texas Baptist University posted three multiple-run appearances at the plate Saturday, April 1.
Head coach
David McNally's McMurry University War Hawks, looking to salvage the final game of the weekend American Southwest Conference series, got down 5-0 after two innings. The Maroon and White pitching staff blanked the red-hot Tiger bats in the third frame, but ETBU responded with one in the fourth and three in the fifth to wind up a 9-0 final.
Freshman first baseman
Bre Barajas (Abilene, Texas) and sophomore second baseman
Jade Dickens (Friendswood, Texas) each picked up hits to try and spark an offensive rally. However, those attempts were both turned away.
The War Hawks (14-6 overall, 8-4 ASC) look to bounce back Tuesday, April 4. Austin College out of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference visits Edwards Field in non-conference play. Game time is 2:30 p.m.
