CLEVELAND CLOSES OUT BIG WEEK, PACES MCMURRY

ABILENE, TEXAS – Eighteen points, 16 rebounds, a 14-of-16 effort at the charity stripe.

All attributes of a noteworthy two-game set for freshman forward/center Aryana Cleveland (San Antonio, Texas). Cleveland's memorable run began with eight points and ten boards in a key American Southwest Conference victory at UT-Dallas on Feb. 9. It concluded with 10 points, her third double-digit outing in the last six contests, against crosstown rival Hardin-Simmons Saturday, Feb. 11, during a 120-66 defeat.

Senior forward/center Destiny Mathews (Palestine, Texas), senior center Kaitlyn Randall (Trophy Club, Texas), and freshman guard Jacee Brannon (Weatherford, Texas) each added nine points against the Cowgirls in the final 2022-23 regular-season meeting between the two sides. Brannon's best outing in a Maroon, Black, and White uniform was due to a four-for-four field goal shooting line.

Head coach Drew Long's War Hawks (11-11 overall, 5-11 ASC) resume a three-game home stand Thursday, Feb. 16. Mary-Hardin-Baylor is their guest for a 5:30 p.m. start.
