Box Score McMurry University's Lady War Hawks lost 2-1 Thursday, Nov. 2 in the semifinals of the 2023 American Southwest Conference women's soccer tournament at Hardin-Simmons University.
McMurry kept the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, which won the regular-season title, at bay for most of the first half until the 34:12 mark when the opponent scored the game's first goal. It scored again early in the second stanza, but freshman midfielder/defender

Coach
Charles Nobles' 2023 squad, which became the first in school history to start the season 4-0, advanced to the semifinals after beating the University of Texas-Dallas 3-0 on the road Tuesday. This was the second trip to Dallas for McMurry, which tied UT-D 1-1 last Saturday.
Nobles said McMurry also advanced to the semifinals in 2019, 2021 and 2022. The Lady War Hawks were appearing in their sixth straight tourney according to the ASC website.
McMurry finished its season with an 11-5-4 record
