McMurry University women's soccer found its winning touch again Saturday, Oct. 14 in Wilford Moore Stadium with a 2-1 victory over Sul Ross State University. 

Junior forward Emily Holland (Mansfield, Texas) had both scores for the host team in the first half in almost identical fashion. At the 13:41 mark, she sidestepped the goalie who was away from the net and calmly walked the ball in. She repeated the feat at the 20:45 mark. 

Holland and forward/midfielder Jaelynn Portillo (Grand Prairie, Texas) had four shots each. Freshman goalkeeper Avery Anders (Abilene, Texas) had six saves. The team finished with nine shots and five corner kicks. 

McMurry, 9-3-2, hosts Concordia University at 5 p.m. Oct. 19.
