ABILENE, Texas – Jordan Sherman played his last men's basketball game inside Kimbrell Arena on Saturday afternoon, as McMurry University Men's Basketball fell to University of the Ozarks by a final of 75-58.
Sherman, a junior on the court, will graduate in December with a degree in business administration. He had six points and five rebounds in his final game.
With the win, the Ozarks improve to 7-3 both overall and in conference play and have won the American Southwest Conference East Division. McMurry ends its season with a 4-15 record.
The Ozarks jumped to a 37-21 lead, as McMurry struggled from behind the arc and could not keep up. The second half saw the War Hawks pull back within single digits, pulling within seven with 13:14 remaining, but the Eagles would re-extend the lead and remain ahead for good.
Junior guard Remy Minor led the way with 14 points and five rebounds, while sophomore guard Rob Charles finished with 12 points and four rebounds.
The Eagles had five players score in double figures.
