ABILENE, Texas – McMurry Women's Basketball had a competitive first half against Mary Hardin-Baylor inside Kimbrell Arena on Thursday, but went cold in the second half to fall 82-52 in American Southwest Conference action.
The War Hawks (0-9, 0-4 ASC) started the game on a 6-0 run and remained hot on the trails of UMHB (4-2, 2-0 ASC), but stumbled out of the gate in the third quarter and gave up 19 unanswered points.
True freshman Emily Holland led McMurry with eight points. Twelve different players scored for the War Hawks. Ashley Faux led UMHB with 25 points.
On Saturday, the War Hawks welcome Concordia Texas to Kimbrell Arena for a 1 p.m. tip. Any fan that donates an unwrapped toy for "Toys For Tots" at the gate will receive free admission.
