ORLANDO – McMurry University Women's Tennis concluded its spring break trip with another victory, topping the College of St. Scholastica 7-1 Tuesday night at the USTA National Center.

The War Hawks (8-4) took two out of three doubles matches, with Claire Hillyer and Hope Turner securing the point at number one doubles with an 8-3 win.

McM took the 2-1 lead when Mandy Roberson and Kiara Jones won 8-1 at number three.

The War Hawks then took all four singles matches that were completed. Hillyer won by default at number one and Neah Garza's match at number two was unfinished due to the lights going out at the facility.

At number three singles, Gabrielle Ellwanger defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-1, while Morgan Parnell won 6-2, 6-1 at number four.

Roberson had a clean sweep, winning 6-0, 6-0 at number five. To round out McM's lineup, Turner won 6-0, 6-3 at number six.

McMurry is off until March 22, when Austin College visits the Seidel-Swagerty Tennis Center for the nonconference finale.
