ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University Women's Soccer begins American Southwest Conference play Thursday, when they host Sul Ross State University Thursday at 5 p.m. at Wilford Moore Stadium. The War Hawks wrap up the weekend travelling to Southwestern Assemblies of God University Saturday at 4 p.m.

Last week: The War Hawks were defeated by the University of the Southwest, 3-1, Wednesday evening, before bouncing back on a rainy Saturday afternoon to defeat Jarvis Christian College, 4-1. Sunday's matchup at Texas Lutheran was canceled due to weather.
Spreading it out: Four different players scored in the win over Jarvis Christian. For the season, eight War Hawks have scored a goal. Sophomore midfielder
Sky Reynolds leads the way with two.
Defending the net: Although the War Hawks allowed single goals in their two wins, the defense has been strong in both games. No other shots on goal were allowed in those games, preventing the McMurry goalies from even collecting a save.
Lucky number four: In both of the War Hawks' wins, they have scored four goals, both 4-1 victories.
About Sul Ross: The Lobos are 1-1 on the season, defeating Austin College, 3-2, before being defeated at Schreiner University, 1-0. The War Hawks are looking for their first win against the Lobos, trailing the series 3-0.
About SAGU: This is the first ever meeting between the War Hawks and Lions. The Lions are 2-1-1 on the season as NAIA and NCCAA members.
