ABILENE, Texas – With a loss by University of the Ozarks last Saturday afternoon, McMurry University Women's Soccer qualified for the American Southwest Tournament for the first time in program history. The War Hawks will visit rival Hardin-Simmons Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinal round.

LAST WEEK: The War Hawks were defeated by Hardin-Simmons 3-0 last Thursday before defeating Southwestern Adventist University 12-0 Sunday.
PROGRAM FIRST: McMurry qualified for the ASC Tournament for the first time in program history with Ozarks loss to Louisiana College Saturday.
YOU GET A GOAL, AND YOU GET A GOAL: The War Hawks scored 12 goals in the win on Sunday, with sophomore Sky Reynolds recording a hat trick. Freshman midfielder Ashland Hansen, senior midfielder Hannah Way and sophomore forward Courtney Kendrick each tallied two goals apiece, while junior defenders Peyton Wood and Shelby Wood and sophomore midfielder Brianna Pina each scored once.
HAT TRICK: Reynolds' hat trick is the first for the War Hawks since sophomore Angelica Navarro did it last season against Belhaven.
THEY MEET AGAIN: After meeting just last Thursday in the final ASC matchup of the regular season, the War Hawks and Cowgirls meet Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the ASC Tournament.
ASC BRACKET: In addition to the McM-HSU matchup as the number eight and one seeds, the other half of the McM bracket features fourth-seeded Sul Ross State number five seed LeTourneau. On the opposite side of the bracket, second-seeded UT Dallas hosts seventh-seeded East Texas Baptist and third-seeded University of Mary Hardin-Baylor hosts sixth-seeded Concordia Texas. The semifinals and finals will be held at Hardin Simmons Friday and Sunday.
