ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University women's basketball had its three-game win streak snapped, losing the 2016-17 finale to Concordia University-Texas, 65-49, at Kimbrell Arena. The War Hawks finished their season at 9-15 and 5-11 in the ASC, while the Tornados improved to 16-9 and 9-7 in the ASC.
McM hung close to CUTX after one quarter, trailing by just a single point, 12-11. However, the War Hawks were unable to keep up with the Tornados in the middle two quarters. In the second half, Concordia extended its lead to 35-22 heading into the halftime locker room. In the third stanza, the Tornados out-scored McMurry, 17-9, and extended the margin to 21 points (52-31).
